Pennsylvania Launches Free FAFSA Help Desk to Boost Student Aid
HARRISBURG – To combat a nationwide decline in FAFSA completion rates, the Pennsylvania Department of Education has partnered with uAspire to introduce a free statewide help desk. The initiative aims to assist students and families in navigating the complex Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) process.
Recognizing the challenges students face in accessing school counselors during the summer, the state has made it a priority to offer timely support. The new help desk will provide guidance, answer questions, and streamline the FAFSA application process for students and parents across Pennsylvania.
Dr. Khalid N. Mumin, Secretary of Education, emphasized the importance of completing the FAFSA to secure affordable higher education. "This help desk is a game-changer for students," he said. "By providing easy access to support, we're empowering Pennsylvanians to pursue their educational goals."
The Pennsylvania Department of Education received funding from the U.S. Department of Education to implement this vital service.
